i want to be on Craig's list

jesseeeee won! now we can all move on with our lives.

in other news, i've been spending a lot of time on craigslist recently. mostly looking for a job, sometimes glancing at the housing, and with the occasional look over the "free" section and wishing i could snatch up one of those kittens. well, with still no job, today was quite the uneventful day.. so i spent more time than usual exploring this lovely website. on top of all those listed above, i searched for cheap mopeds (but to no avail,) wondered if i could sell any of that free stuff, looked for jobs in portland and california, marveled at the idea that almost every country i could think of has a craigslist, and wandered over to the personals section. at first i looked at the "men seeking women" ads, and although some were funny and slightly pathetic, others like "i just want to watch a movie and cuddle" we're suspiciously tempting. don't worry, i didn't respond to any.. i promise. finally i came across the "missed connections" section of the personals which has been my favorite part of the website thus far. instead of trying to explain what they're all about, how about a few examples:

"Most of the time I go in the store I usually see you working in the Rail dept. I've actually been going in way more often than I need to just so I can figure out a way to approach you.
You have a really rad taste in clothes (cool vest and hat, by the way), darker hair, and a tattoo.
Maybe I'll have to just ask you out next time I go in. All these pairs of jeans and other stuff is getting expensive."

this one made me pee my pants a little:

"I couldn't help but notice you standing in line with your mom. Your summer dress exposing your soft, doughy arms. You look about 2 1/2-3 tops. It was all I could do to not reach out and pinch you and pull your beautiful hair! I was the one sitting in the shopping cart, next aisle. I had Oshkosh B'gosh overalls and a dinosaur shirt on, hair slightly disheveled from nap time. I would really love to get together and play hide and seek! Email me and let me know what color my sucker was!"

and i thought this one was sweet:

"You were at the Stadium of Fire, in a red shirt and jeans sitting in section 135. I think you were with your family. We spoke briefly while we were getting snacks. I asked you if you had everything you needed and you said, "everything and then some". I missed my chance to ask you out, so if you remember this and want to give me another chance to get to know you please respond. I hope to hear from you soon. xoxoxo"

kinda makes me wonder if anyone's fallen in love with me while i was buying groceries or something, i know i have :)

I saw you sleeping in your bed, I didn't want to wake you so I just stared, for a long time. Blah.
You can find me at Smith's, anytime, by the frozen vegetable section, there i will be waiting, peas in hand.
